Personal Injury Lawyer Nassau County

Nassau County is defined by its busy parkways and diverse properties. When negligence leads to an injury on the Long Island Expressway (LIE), the Northern State Parkway, or on local premises, Binson Law is ready to investigate and hold the responsible parties accountable.

Nassau County Accident Lawyer for All Injuries

At Binson Law, I provide the focused, personal attention that large Long Island firms cannot. You will work directly with me from your initial consultation until your case is resolved. My sole mission is to aggressively fight to secure the maximum compensation you are owed for your medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

I operate on a contingency fee basis—meaning you pay absolutely nothing upfront and owe us no fee unless we successfully win your case.

How Can I Help You?

I excel at managing the dual legal complexities of Nassau County, specifically addressing high-speed traffic accidents and complex premises liability claims. Accidents on major arteries like the Long Island Expressway (LIE) and Northern State Parkway often result in catastrophic injuries and trigger immediate aggressive tactics from insurance companies to minimize payouts under New York’s No-Fault system. I act quickly to gather crucial evidence, from traffic data to witness testimony, ensuring the claim meets the necessary legal thresholds for full compensation, aggressively countering insurer attempts to reduce the victim’s recovery.

  • Free, Confidential Evaluation: Your injury deserves a professional review. Get your claim evaluated by an experienced attorney at no cost and no obligation.

How long do I have to file an injury claim in Nassau County?

Three years from the date of the injury for most personal injury claims (CPLR 214(5)), and two years for wrongful death (EPTL 5-4.1). Nassau cases are filed in Nassau County Supreme Court in Mineola. If Nassau County, a town, a village, a school district or a public authority is responsible, a notice of claim is usually due within 90 days (General Municipal Law 50-e). Confirm your own deadlines with an attorney, as exceptions apply.

Does no-fault work differently on Long Island?

No. New York’s no-fault rules apply statewide: up to $50,000 in basic economic loss from your own insurer regardless of fault, an application generally due within 30 days, and the serious injury threshold in Insurance Law 5102(d) before you can claim pain and suffering. What does differ is that Nassau collisions more often involve higher-speed roads such as the Southern State and Northern State Parkways and the Long Island Expressway.

What if I was partly at fault?

You can still recover. New York uses pure comparative negligence (CPLR 1411), so your recovery is reduced by your share of fault rather than denied.
